The book is about a girl named Ruby who has really embarrassing parents. When Ruby and her friends Grace and Callum goes to Rubys house her parents gets really embarrisng. Her parents wanted to play a song that they wrote themselves. When her father returns to play the guitar her mother begins sing, it sounds worse than a cat screaming. When they have finished singing her father says to them they are going to sing at some kind of meeting in front of the school.
The next day at school Ruby and Callum are trying to come up with something to keep them frem from performing at school. They will forge the principal's handwriting.
When they come to the Dean's room to steal paper Ruby pretends that she feels bad, but then she feels good again.
When Ruby comes home and tries to give her parents the letter, she can not find it in her bag.
Now, Ruby got herself into trouble.
